"HortPark, Hot People Park"

As always, I am very excited when I know that I am going to go out with my friends.
Well, the Radio Crew that is.
So, I woke up quite early that day,
at about 9 am (early,much?) and had breakfast.
After an hour of sipping my superb Coffee, courtesy of my mom,
I went ahead to the Tube.
10am's usually my HANIFFA TIME
why?
Because UGLY BETTY'S on!
So i watched the show, even though i watched it like a million times,
And then i hang around the house for about 30 mins,
and then i went to shower.
After what seemed like an hour(ok, im exaggerating. It was more of 20 mins actually)
I came out, smelling like a tub of strawberry ice cream.
Then i put on my HOT HUNKY MESS ensemble,
Did my hair for 15 mins ( i know. it's kinda long.)
and then i was off.

Went to Bedok mrt station, waited for the train which Nas was on,
and we headed for Boon Lay Egg.
When i first entered the train,
I was kinda lost.
The deer-in-headlight expressions the passengers gave me was very annoying.
I knew i was hot and all, but there's really no need to check me out.
It's rude to stare, people.
Anywho,
i finally saw Nas ensconced in between a lady and a girl.
So, when i saw Nas, my(or rather OUR) natural reaction was to laugh.
Weird, much?
Well, yeah.
So we smiled, and then the lady next to Nas,
A chinese lady with 2 of her teenage sons next 2 her,
(God bless her)
Looked at me, thinking that i was smiling at her.
We kinda made eye contact for a nano second
and then she turned to Nas and saw that she was smiling also.
So we kinda smsed each other about that and the whole trip was funny.
We weren't making fun of the lady though.
She looked very stern, despite her nice-lady look.
Ok, i digressed.
Anyway, at City Hall,
Most of the passengers alighted, and me,
being a true blue kiasu singaporean,
snatched the seat before anyone could.
Hopefully no one posted my hot picture on stomp.
That'll be like a copyright infringement.
Honestly.

So, me and Nas were talking about our lives and such,
Until our conversation was rudely interrupted by a lady next to me.
She was apparently angry at someone at the other end of the phone,
and so, we decided to eavesdrop.
This was her convo (edited according to my memory) :

Lady: Hello?
You better tell me what you bought.
Don't waste my time ah.
Don't waste my phone bill.
I'm in a public place you know?
I'm in the MRT.
You better not make me angry ah.
Why must you lie?
If you didn't buy the thing, then what did you buy?
You better tell me.

.
.
.
.
And the whole convo was about how she demanded to know what the person she was talking to bought.
It was hilarious.

DIGRESSING AGAIN!

So, we finally arrived at Boon Lay Egg,
and Nas called Dee if she was already there.
Then my tummy rumbled.
I was hungry.
So, Nas asked Dee if there was a KFC outlet around the area.
It was surprising, since Dee managed to give us the exact details of where the KFC was.
It's as though she was there with us, or that she stayed there.
Eating time.
I had a zinger burger, and treated Nas to cheese fries.
Godd friend, huh?
Then Dee arrived.
Then we went off.
Then we went to shop for Dee's clothes.
Then
Then
Then
Then Eikel arrived.
Then we went off to "Henderson Waves"
The silly thing is that we didn't even know where that god damned place was.
And we just took the bus from jurong east interchange and camwhored in the bus.
Then we saw the metallic bridges of Hortpark.
We dropped off after Hrbourfront interchange, crossed the road and went back to the HOrtpark.
Yes, we missed the stop to Hortpark before that.
Silly huh?
Anyways,
We went to Hort park,
and then took some pictures while we waited for Faz to come.
He had school, you see.
Yup.
School, during a School HOLIDAY.
I cannot make it clearer than that.
Anyway, we decided to go ahead without him at first, and took lotsa pictures on the bridge.
nice view, fresh air, and a paradise for camwhores!
Then we saw the miniscule figure of someone in red.
Faz was around the premises.
We sccreamed at him to walk faster,
And god knows that kid was walking like a snail.
Ok, again, EXAGGERATING.

So, we walked for about 1.2 km on the bridge, for what?
TO GET TO HENDERSON WAVE.
Irritating, Idiotic, Unfathomable.
CUH-RAYYY-ZEEEE
We walked and walked, when the sky stared crying.
We knew it was going to rain sooner or later.
But we secretly hoped that it was going to be LATER.
It was not a tear or two,
It was a downpour.
Damn, i think the sky just broke up with her Bf .
Tears of joy? Maybe.

But it was definitely NOT joyful for us.
We ran all the way to the nearest shelter.
Well, not ALL of us.
Nas had an umbrella, so she shared with Dee.
I had to count on my thick canopy of hair to prevent the rain from touching my scalp,
Faz had his school tee,
and Eikel had his jacket.

When we arrived at the shelter,
we were drenched.
and guess what?
we weren't the only ones there.
Some other people were there too.
But honestly,
The shelter didn't serve it's purpose.
It only had a roof, and the sides were completely bare.
It sorta looks like GRUB from GUNBOUND.

Moving on,
Over at the shelter,
We had so many things going on.
Nas and Faz were exuding alot of negative energy,
Of which were picked up by both me and Dee.
Dee was feeling guilty for bringing us there, since it was her idea.
I was pissed at Faz because he was very, very sarcastic to me.
Can you believe what he said?
he was standing, i was sitting on the floor next to eikel.
and he said, "Hai, tak pergi shopping ke?"
Translated, "Hai, never go shopping?"
And his tone was super sarcastic.
And bear in mind that when he said that,
He was alluding to me.
I knew, because i saw his head gesturing towards me.
I was super angry at that time, but i decided to not let it get to my head.
Eikel, on the other hand, was as oblivious as ever.
That was the peak of our outing.
The climax.
The shelter was the place where so much negative energy was being released.
And personally, i thought that even the other people in the shelter felt it too.
So, we decided to go off and walk in the rain, since Nas had a curfew.
So we wanted to walk back the way we came,
But i suggested that we took the Earth Trail instead.
And thankfully,
the trail led us to civilisation and we quickly ran off the the bus stop nearby.
We are super wet at that time,
and truth be told,
Even as we were making our way down the earth trail,
Alot of things happened,
and some feelings were revealed.
I was super exhausted when we arrived at the bus stop,
and we decided to take abus to Tanah Merah Int.
There eikel wanted to eat,
and so we went to the nearest kopitiam.
Had indian food,
and lots of sugar cane drink.
affordable price, one cup for 1 buck.
anyway,
afer eating,
we decided to head off home.

Eikel took number 5 bus home,
while the rest of us went to the mrt station.

We then waved goodbye to Dee who went off towards boonlayegg,
while the remaining 3 of us went towards pasirris.
The mrt ride home was very uneasy.
I had this guy infront of me, and his hand was blocking my view of Nas,
To whom i was talking to at that time.
And my hand kept brushing against his,
and he kept looking at me.
I felt like say
DUDE, COULD YOU LIKE BACK OFF A LITTLE? WHAT ARE YOU ENJOYING MY HAND BRUSHING AGAINST YOURS?
But i didn't.
I was too good.
I lack iniquity to do me service.
So i decided to talk to Nas about why she was very negative that day.
She told me to ..
let's just say THINGS were revealed that day.
I'n not going to elaborate much.
But god knows, it caught me off guard, even though i had it up.
(what??? ok, i totally had a stupid moment.)

And then i headed home.
